The R&D Design team at Rippling is made up of Product Design, UX Research, and UX Content. The Design Team is a remote first (with the flexibility to work out of a hub office) and international team with members currently residing across the United States, Canada, and Ukraine. R&D sub-teams follow the embedded model where design, product, and engineering are focused around a customer and product area together. It's a highly collaborative environment with the responsibility for planning, the process, and outcomes shared by all cross-functional partners involved. UX content plays an essential role in this by ensuring the product is intuitive and efficient- helping free up smart people to work on hard problems for their organizations rather than the busy work that often comes with their job. We hold design to a higher standard than others in the industry and it's an important differentiator for us. It's essential in building trust with our customers, so they can feel confident that important aspects of their business run without fail for their employees. As our UX Content Lead, you're responsible for creating cohesion across experiences that solve real everyday problems for employees. We're looking for a UX Content Lead who is passionate about helping businesses, and their employees, succeed in their missions by helping them run more effectively. What You'll Do Work with Product, Engineering, Customer Support, Product Marketing and Sales partners to represent the design team, drive content strategy, and give feedback in planning and product channels Effectively manage your time and process to meet team deadlines Create content that is clear, helpful, inclusive, and scalable Work with partners to help summarize and communicate research findings to inform our decisions and build even greater understanding of and empathy for our customers Solicit feedback early and often from your peers, including product designers and teammates in your product team, and participate in weekly design syncs with the design team Help establish and maintain our content guidelines to ensure cohesive product narratives Help establish and grow the UX content team in the R&D department Qualifications A Bachelors in English, Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, UX, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field/equivalent experience At least 7 years of experience doing UX writing, content design, content strategy, or product writing At least 3 years of experience being the lead or sole UX Writer for a product or feature Experience in user-focused product writing, establishing frameworks, content patterns, & voice and tone guidelines Experience working with localization and accessibility best practices Experience with community building and brand storytelling Experience testing content strategy and UX Writing Experience and a passion for championing the customer to deliver a best-in-class user experience An outstanding portfolio, showcasing a depth of knowledge in UX writing and guidelines Experience partnering with Product Managers, Engineers, and Product Designers to execute on UX deliverables Ability to work alongside designers with tools like Figma Experience leading and/or participating in the hiring process for UX Writers Experience working on nomenclature and product naming is a plus
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Editorial & Content Management, Design & UXEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
