Developmental Disabilities Program Specialist 1

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Region 3 Site Development team participates in the overall development process for all residential and Day Program Opportunities for both State Operations and Voluntary Providers within the eighteen-county catchment area Site Development responsibilities may entail duties throughout all of Region 3 based on operational needs of the unit. This position will provide essential services in the Region 3 Site Development Team. POSITION
Responsibilities:
This includes ensuring that all health and safety issues are addressed, NYCRR Title 14 620 and 635 regulations are adhered to, and the certified sites are code compliant. In addition, the Site Developer is responsible for managing the Certificate of Need (CON) process and Division of Administration Revenue Support (DARS) process. The Site Developer manages Capital Funds for projects that span a vast price range which includes ensuring appropriate decisions are made from the design phase of a project, to responding to requests for expenditures in response to field conditions, to the actual opening of a home In addition to development of Supervised IRAs, the Site Developer is responsible for the development of Supportive IRAs, Apartments, change in site capacities and the multiple relocations that are pursued. The Site Developer also functions as an essential member of the Request for Proposal (RFP) Team and Change of Auspice Team. The Site Developer participates in the search for land and existing homes with Voluntary Provider Agencies that have been awarded new development opportunities as part of OPWDD's transformation plan. This would include overseeing the standardized bidding process and frequent meetings for ground up construction. Development staff will assist in the development of residential opportunities for individuals Aging Out of residential schools and securing adult residential placement through the Letter of Intent (LOI) process. The Site Developer will work closely with the Residential Schools Transition Coordinator, the Vacancy Management Unit, The Front Door Unit and Voluntary Providers in working to develop adult residential and day service opportunities from the 2 current LOI's. The Site Development staff will work with DQI and Voluntary Provider agencies to address Fire Safety recommendations made by the Office for Fire Prevention and Control in relation to certified residences in Region 3 to ensure individuals we serve are provided a safe environment that meets their fire safety needs. Other tasks as assigned. SELECTION CRITERIA:

Salary Range:
From $73009 to $92170 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Location to be Determined:
Taconic DDRO Capital DDRO Hudson Valley DDRO 38 Firemen's Way 500 Balltown Rd 11 Wilbur Rd Poughkeepsie, NY Schenectady, NY Thiells, NY 1. Must currently be a permanent DDPS1. OR 2. Must be active and reachable on the Civil Service eligible list for DDPS1. OR 3. Eligible for 70.1 transfer by way of current permanent status in a title deemed comparable to DDPS1 by the Department of Civil Service (Must also be within 2 salary grades of the targeted title); and currently be employed by NYS OPWDD. OR 4. Qualified for Provisional Appointment . Provisional appointments will only be considered if there are insufficient in-title and/or Civil Service list candidates. You must be a qualified employee of the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and have had one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a position at a Grade 16.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
